Over time, skin naturally loses collagen and elasticity — fine lines deepen, sun damage surfaces as spots and redness, and skin begins to sag in areas that were once firm. Laser and energy-based treatments offer a way to address these changes without surgery, using focused light or ultrasound energy to stimulate the skin’s own repair processes.
At Coastal Dermatology, we’ve invested in a range of laser and energy-based devices because no single technology treats everything well. Some are best suited for tightening and lifting, others for correcting pigment and vascular concerns, and others for removing unwanted hair. During your consultation, we’ll evaluate your skin and goals to recommend the treatment — or combination of treatments — that fits.
Treatments We Offer
Ultherapy
A non-surgical lift for the face, neck, and brow. Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound energy to reach the deep foundational layers of skin — the same layers addressed in a surgical facelift — triggering new collagen production for gradual tightening and lifting over two to three months.
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)
Often called a photofacial, IPL targets the visible signs of sun damage: brown spots, freckling, redness, and broken capillaries. Broad-spectrum light is absorbed by pigment and blood vessels in the skin, breaking up discoloration and evening out skin tone with little to no downtime.
Laser Hair Reduction
A long-term alternative to shaving and waxing. Laser energy targets the pigment in hair follicles, disabling their ability to regrow hair. Most patients see significant, lasting reduction after a series of treatments on areas such as the face, underarms, legs, back, or bikini line.
VariLite
A precision laser for small, well-defined concerns — spider veins, cherry angiomas, sun spots, and other discrete vascular and pigmented lesions. Its targeted spot size makes it ideal for treating individual imperfections without affecting the surrounding skin.
